1098 and all that means

That is the number of Leeds groups, charities and social enterprises that Kathy Faulks has worked with since she commenced work at Voluntary Action Leeds in September 2005. Now, she bids you farewell.

Kathy Goodbye I can't believe that I have been paid for the privilege of working with so many diverse and wonderful groups. Because of my role within Voluntary Action Leeds I have spent years supporting people who are doing the very best they can and transforming their world in Leeds. As for me -  those of you who have followed my now deactivated twitter account will know that my passion in life is long distance hiking. My next adventure will be a third thru hike on the Appalachian Trail, a continuous footpath through the Appalachian woods from Georgia to Maine. This is a trek of just over 2,000 miles finishing at Mount Katahdin-"the greatest mountain of them all". It remains only for me to thank you for all the difference you make in this wonderful city. Farewell friends Kathy
