Leeds City Ambassadors

Leeds City Ambassadors is a volunteering scheme providing a personal welcome for both residents and visitors to the city.

Leeds City Ambassadors

The Leeds City Ambassadors is a volunteer scheme, managed by Leeds City Council with support from Voluntary Action Leeds. We provide a personal welcome to the City for both residents and visitors alike. By providing an excellent visitor experience, the aim is to raise the profile of the city, encouraging investment, trade, and tourism, so that Leeds will be regarded as a vibrant, dynamic and competitive city both locally and globally.

In 2016 we will be assisting with the ITU Triathlon, the Leeds Independent Food Fair and The Tour de Yorkshire. Leeds City Ambassadors also provide a resource for many other volunteer events in the City such at the Kirkstall Festival, Leeds Film Festival and Chapeltown Carnival. The citywide Capital of Culture 2023 bid will strengthen Leeds City Ambassadors in future – we are one of the partners in the development of the bid.

Learn new customer service skills, discover more about Leeds, host great events to support your city and provide a warm, informed Leeds Welcome. Once registered it's a straight forward approval process, consisting of reading and signing the necessary paperwork and attending an introductory training session.
